Caelith is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform designed to assist European fund managers with regulatory compliance workflows. These Terms of Service govern your use of the platform provided by Julian Laycock (“Provider”), Berlin, Germany.
Caelith provides informational tools and automated compliance checks. The outputs of the platform are not a substitute for professional legal, tax, or compliance advice. You are solely responsible for ensuring your regulatory obligations are met. Always consult qualified professionals for binding compliance decisions.
You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree not to misuse the platform or attempt to access systems or data beyond your authorization.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Provider’s total liability arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform shall be limited to the total subscription fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim. The Provider is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Your use of Caelith is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of all data you upload. We process your data solely to provide and improve the platform services.
Either party may terminate this agreement with 30 days’ written notice. Upon termination, your access to the platform will be deactivated. You may request an export of your data within 30 days of termination. After that period, your data will be deleted in accordance with our data retention policy.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from or in connection with these terms is Berlin, Germany.
We reserve the right to modify these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the platform. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
